Light scalaron as dark matter

A new cosmological scenario is proposed in which a light scalaron of f(R) gravity plays the role dark matter. In this scenario, initially resides at minimum its effective potential while electroweak symmetry unbroken. At beginning crossover, evolving expectation value Higgs field triggers evolution due to interaction between these fields. After oscillating can represent cold Its current energy density depends on single free parameter, mass m, and m?4×10?3eV required explain observed dark-matter abundance. Larger values would be scenarios where excited before crossover.
